Anyone have any comments on the linksys etherfast usb network adapters?

I'm developing a server in which the mobo only has 2 pci slots. one will be used for a nic, and the other for an old pci aiw so i can tv out put.

Here is what I'm planning on getting:

It's only a few bucks (15)...

Are you using this for a router? Why do you need 2 ethernet connections? That USB adapter should work. I don't remember what the transfer rate on a USB port is, but that will most likely be your limiting factor.

usb 1.1 = 12mb/s theoretical max
usb 2.0 = 480mb/s theoretical max

if its a usb2.0 ethernet device, and a usb2.0 port, it should be fine on a 100mpbs network
if not, that specific comp will have 10mpbs of bandwidh (depending if u have a router/hub..)

they work fine btw, i have a 10mbps in the closet lol

I'll be using it as a router hence the two cards

well for 15 bucks, its not like its costing an arm and a leg.
I already bought it, now to find a box to through all this equipment in.

I'll keep you all posted on how well it is, probably fine.

it took me a little while to get the darn thing configured. when i put it in originally winxp gave it a deafult usb video card driver. to make a long story short (took me about 30 minutes to get it right) i had to just switch it from usb 0 to the usb 1 port! silly thing. works fine, i dont notice much of a speed difference at 10mbits compared to the pci cards.
