Uh, It's sort of straying from the Gulf War theme. It ceratinly is considered Modern Day warefare.

The desert combat modification is pretty sweet, although I can't fly a helicopter to save my life. Are there any good recommended servers to play on? I have only messed around in single player mode.

You might want to try to official Dev Server.
