AIM, Help... :D

Hi,

I'm worried about my littler brother and i'm worried about the people he talks to and I was wondering if their was a way to log IM chats from AIM so you know every chat he has is saved in some folder or something using notepad for instance...please help.

youve tried lookin in the options of aiM?
i think msn didnt have it before but now it has a logging feature/...perhaps aim followed suit?

get him to use Trillian. It has a logging feature for AIM. just show him that trillian will let you use AIM and MSN and ICQ and IRC etc all in one...

Trillian will let you log it and keep on top of what he's doing.


Alternatively, you could always install some key-stroke logging software or go even further and install an app that will let you see exactly what the person on that computer is doing in real-time. That's more on the extreme side though and if he found out he'd probably be pretty pissed

There is a utility for AIM called DeadIM. It has a logging feature in it, as well as many other feature that enhance AIM(gets rid of ad, etc). I think it costs $1.95 or something but if you look around long enough you'll find it for free :)

I would agree with kurtis. Using trillian will log all AIM messages, it will also capture the web addresses that are sent through. If you are indeed concerned with activities on a machine you can try http://www.iambigbrother.com/, spyware for the truly suspicious.
