"The A-FX71 utilizes the GeForce FX 5600 Ultra GPU at stock speeds of 400 MHz and 128 MB DDR clocked at 800 MHz. Hidden underneath a large plastic cover, this card is visually very different from any other card we have come across. "

Kurtis!!! How come you did not test it with UT2004!!! It came out on Friday (I think it came out even earlier there)!!! And it is way better than UT2003!!! Can you please, please o thy grand tech site owner update to include benchmarks for UT2004. If you do I will be very happy.

Other than that, it looks pretty sweet. I am waiting for the R400s to come out , though, before I get another graphics cards, then I can be up to date.

It is a shame nobody has yet made comercial a GPU which has a 1GHZ clock speed.

we tested the card before ut2004 was out, same with all the other vid cards we currently have here...

Interesting-- The FX dominates in Gunmetal, a benchmark that Nvidia practically wrote. You do know Gunmetal was developed specifically to showcase the FX architecture, don't you?

Oh, OK. But, how come it takes you so long to review stuff? I mean UT2004 has been out for like a week there, how can it take you over a week to review a graphics card?

um, because it takes like 2 days to fully test a video card... and we tested it a couple months ago when we tested all the other cards... we have a lot of stuff to review... we ran plenty of benchmarks and maybe in the future we will use UT2004

Yeah, on any cards we receive in the future, we will be replacing UT2k3 with UT2k4. So the next few vid card reviews, 9600 XT and 5950 Ultra will not have UT2k4 as a benchmark.
