Tribes 2 was also available for download for free with a free cd-key from Fileplanet. But according to the company they ran out of cd-keys so then stop giving it away.

I went to the Tribes official web site, and there was an annoucement about this. They gave both games away for free (both Tribes 1 and Tribes 2) to encourage people to buy the new game when its released.
