high definition xbox help

when i play my xbox games on my hd tv set in hd mode they really don't look that good.i have heard people talk about jaggies but it looks worse than with hd disabled on the xbox dashboard.Is this just the way it's going to look or am i doing something wrong

i get the same results when i play it on my friend's hdtv, so i'm not quite sure.

have u tried using s-video adapter/cable?

no i havent but i will.However i thought s video display isntas good as component

to get true hdtv u have to use component cables.

yeah i was using compnent but the quality of it sucks worse than no hd
