Half-Life 2 G-Man Sightings (Possible Spoilers)

Ok, extension of another thread. I am playing through the game a second time in an attempt to find as many hidden/interesting things as possible. Of course, the G-Man is the most obvious. Here are my findings as I play through, feel free to post your own. If you can't upload them somewhere, feel free to email it to me and I will post it on your behalf.

In train car while you are on the "underground railroad"

In the beginning after you get the boat.

I missed one that I need to go back and take a screenshot of and I think there is one more after all these. I'll find out sooner or later though.

Here is the one I missed so far. It is right after you get out of Ravenholm and past the snipers in the bridge. If you go all the way down, kill the three Combine soldiers, crouch and look through the crack between the rail-cars and the wall you can see the G-Man walking away.

Is there even a walkthrough besides the book that comes with the $80 package?

I did some searching and the only walkthroughs I found were at IGN and Gamefaqs. HardOCP's server has been overloaded or crapping out recently and I can't currently see the site.

Neither is a complete walkthrough yet and only one has some of the G-Man sightings. Of the sightings I have posted, I found all but the one in the rail car on my own. I only saw three the first time through the game though.

I think there is only two more than I know of. One is on a disconnected TV in some destroyed building and the other is a scrambled picture on a screen on the side of a building that I haven't been able to take a screenshot of. I've heard reports of him being seen in a window of some building, but no pictures or further description :-/

EDIT: The only related stuff [H] posted that you would have seen last night was a tweak guide and a timeline. Neither come close to being walkthroughs :-P As usual, Kurtis, your crappy memory deceives you!

3 rout canal it train car on tv
4 water hazard red barn on ledge
5 water hazard on broken monitor
6 water hazard on ledge by a closed bridge
7 water hazard after chopper fight by dam controls
8 ravenholm at last train cars blocking road through the crack on the left side
9 highway 17 through combine binoculars
10 ? map on monitor that the resistance is pulling down
11 nova prospect on security camera monitor (have to cycle through once to see him)
12 ancient citizen one after dawg on lone monitor
13 ending scene

if there are others that you have seen plese reply

other note the chess game with the vortigaunt is 1 move away from checkmate
i was bored!!

There are three in your list that I do not have pictures of, and one of which I have not seen.

I saw these two but haven't gotten pics.

I'll have to try harder :-P

Aside from those three, the only other sightings I know of are the ones I have pictures of.

I'm going to have to check out that chess thing, just for the hell of it :-P

the one after dawg is where you have to go anywhey when you go into the hotel and to the right to go threw the building there is the tv sitting there he is on it quickly

and the water hazard one is after you see the first dropship fly over head and then see the landed one w/ 3 combines it is on a skyscraper.

i just finished beating the game yet again but didn't see the g-man any more times than before. basically i just ran around and read every single post-it and searched every dark corner looking for interesting stuff. god i love this game.

another friend of mine sais that from my list i have one missing and another talks about seing him slightly when he was going under a bridge so i don't know yet

will try to get my picks up later this week if i have the chance and bring them from home

Not sure if anyone posted this sighting, but it really scared me when I first saw it.

Later in the game, entering a 2nd or 3rd apartment building (who knows how many their are =] ) I heard a weird buzzing or aura kinda noise. I walked farther in and turned right into a room full of rubble that had a TV on the ground. On the TV was of course, gman - on a boat. It went off a second later.

I noclipped around the map later after I beat the game, and I found where he was where he made that little broadcast! =]

I HATE that guy! Every time I see him on the HL2 box covers at Best Buy, I just want to knock the shelf over and step on him so many times. Sooo many times. One day I shall kill him. Don't ask me why I hate him, either. It all dates back to my days of HL1...*narrows eyes*

can't remember the name but there is a train blocking any further passage and I saw him walking away through the gap at the end once

oh and in one of the load/preload screens in a derelict building if you wait long enough

Yup, that is one I found but never got a pic of.

Will be interesting to see where the G-Man shows up in the coming expansions and episodes. I heard not too long ago that Valve will be releasing monthly episodes for HL2. That would be awesome. Have an on-going story, looking forward to new events every month. Can't wait to hear more... or better yet, play more!

Got this by taking the jeep to where you get the rocket launcher, and a bug kept the gate from opening, so i back tracked a ways to try and re-set it, came back and the G-man and the guy that gives you the rocket launcher are just standing ontop of the building. So I made my way up there halfway expecting him to be gone, but nope, there he was. so i got a print screen, and there it is.

try this: On the water hazard level when you see g-man on the ledge over by the dam very quickly! open up your console and enter these codes in the same order: (sv_cheats 1, bind x "npc_create npc_zombie", and noclip, notarget) when you do this close the console and fly over to the g-man (you can fly now with noclip) once over there turn noclip off when youre next to him. he wont move when your near. if you try to shoot him nothing happens so look at the ground next to him and press "x". it will spawn a zombie there which will immediately go after g-man. spawn several more and just watch. they will hit him as he does nothing but watches and then he will turn into a ragdoll and fall over dead.:twisted: huzzah!!! you killed the g-man!!!
