Anyone here watch FIA WRC rally races?

This link shows a stock Subaru's WRX STi's transformation into a rally car. Pretty cool stuff...and expensive.

Man, that is a lot of work. Awesome though. I remember when I did all that to my Lumina. Good times.

it is quite amazing how they survive those crashes.

last year a ford focus did a front flip at about 150kph, end over end and both the driver and navigator walked away...one with a concussion, one with a bruised leg or something. amazing.

Yea, I was watching it one year and one of the guys rolled the car about 4 times and ended up on all fours. He just fired it back up and took off, it was amazing.

After looking at the welds and reinforcement that go into those cars, I am not surprised they can take such abuse. Something about those WRX rally cars that just looks so sweet.

i did something similar to my 71 k5 blazer. that damn thing has taken such a beating and it's still going. if only i had the money, i'd get a wrx and rally it up.
