Poll: Scientists don't know sh*t about global warming!

Man, people are always bitching about global warming, how we are destroying the o-zone and all that garbage. I think it is all bullshit. They just see our buildings with smoke and a decline in o-zone gas and make a correlation. They don't know for a fact if we are actually causing global warming.

What do you guys think?

I never beleive anything I read in a newspaper. Only research carried out in peer reviewed journals of high integrity get my vote. And I am not talking about Nature or Science, both of those journals are the national Enquirer of the science field. I think there is a causal relationship, but as with anything that deals with the environment, there are too many factors to fully understand the process. So you might want to add another poll option that "yes, we are screwing ourselves, and don't dis the lab-coats!" We are watching.....

Do I think we are "causing" global warming? No, but I do tend to think we are helping it along a little. IMO, and I'm no scientist, this is just a natural cylce for Earth to go through and we are just in the warming trend now.

Does anyone realize the ozone layer contributes to global warming? Yet another barrier of gasses trapping in heat. Destroy the ozone layer and see if we can diminish global warming. Or I am going to club a baby seal.

Although the ozone layer does trap some stuff it is one of the big things that filters all the UV rays and stuff out. If it suddenly disappeared then we'd all fry.

all the UV rays out?? Come on Ichi get with it. Why do you think they make rayban sunglasses? Most all optical is designed to filter out UVA and UVB light. Water is also a greenhouse gas (or vapor in this case) Let's get rid of all of that too. We would not all fry... were about due for another ice age anyway.

So how many people think the air on this planet will still be breathable in 200 years or so? The way we are poluting it?

And who gives a darn, if the companies make enough money, do they really care what damage they do to the planet or environment?
