Alrighty, I just got Rome last night and It is beautiful, Everything is hugely improved on and even more realistic. You can take War Elephants and just charge them into a bunch of soldiers and you'll SMASH them into the air like freakin dolls. You can take pikemen and trip cavalry when they're running by. This game can support up to--get this-- -----10,000!!!!----- troops on the field at a time and you'll still be able to zoom in right behind them and listen to them marching, running, killing and getting killed. The sound is also very amazing and deserves a soundtrack by itself. I love the instrumental pieces.

My favourite part is when the AI brings up the massive siege towers to my walls and i set them on fire and it collapses with hundreds on enemys inside. I loooooooooove the morale part of the battles, i like to have like a hundred elephants and the Enemy will be sh!tting their pants and they'll rlh (run like hell) You'll find yourself playing the same battles over 5 times just to find different ways to slaughter or be slaughtered in the battles.

Its a great game and It deserves to be bought by anyone that owns a personal confuser and loves the Total War Series, If youve never heard of it, you'll still be able to just jump right in, It is gaurenteed to immerse you in the Roman times. If you want other Total Wars, you can go to walmart and get medieval or shogun total war for 9.99. They all have EXCELLENT replay value, you'll probably be playing it 12 hours a day for weeks before even finding ONE thing repititive.

www.totalwar.com (http://www.totalwar.com) Deserves to be bought, get it now, Its worth 53.73 US 73.21 CAN it costs

I agree... Rome Total War is loads of fun... it doesn't have as much longevity as I would have liked to have seen (I get bored pretty quickly... I need fast paced action to keep me going)... you dont build cities or anything... at least in any of the scenarios i've seen... but still the mass troops and the feel of the game is pretty damn awesome.
