Unreal 3 Engine, Graphics Galore!

The videos of the Unreal 3 engine have been released. The quality isn't too good, but it gives you a good idea of what to expect. Frankly, I can't wait to see how they wrap a game around that engine!

wow... simply amazing. and yeah it will be very interesting to see what sort of games sprout up using that engine... amazing stuff

Looks like a spectacular engine for adventure games. The physics could make for some great puzzles and they could get alot out of the graphics as adventure games typically have smaller, more detailed areas than your typical FPS.
The effects look like those you would see in a high budget animated movie rather than a computer game.

I wonder if that engine will be used for MMORPGs. The level loading seems like it would work well for those.

It is quite an awesome engine no doubt about that. I just wonder how scalable it is going to be. It looks like you will need a 6800/X800 class vid card to run it. :(

I think it will be fairly scalable, it just won't look as purdy. Even Doom 3's engine is somewhat scalable and ID is one of the few companies that could get away with such high requirements.
