a coupla games I been trying out and such that I haven't heard much talk on are:

Evil Genius (yes i want to be a megalomaniac o.0)

and

Act Of War (This ones quite good but damn I need a new video card... running on 800x600 at lowest options still lags some)

Anyone else had any fun with them?

Evil Genious looked pretty funny from the bits I have seen. I saw a little blurb for Act of War in PCGamer a little while back, looked pretty cool, but I haven't heard anything about it since then.

I recommend Evil Genius if you're into anything like the Sims... and Act of War is a really fun RTS but you dont have to build much... I just need a new video card...

Anyone played Spellforce? Its touted as a RPG/RTS, I was kinda leary of the combination. I started it about a week ago and am impressed.

Basicly you have a main character that you play like a normal RPG. Gain levels, find new equipment, solve quests, all the normal RPG stuff.

As you journey into new areas some of the quests may require you to build up a base and army to take out the forces of evil that have infested the area. This is all done in the traditional RTS style, and your main character is treated as a hero of your army. Kinda like Warcraft III.

I figure I am a little more then half way through the game. There are already 2 expansions out for it also. Check it out!

Sounds pretty cool. Might have to check that out when I get time.

PCGamer didn't like the single player of AoW, they thought it was far too easy. They really liked the MP part though:
HIGHS Sensational multiplay; modest system reqs; good unit balance; interesting resource system.
LOWS Single-player campaign is short and forgettable; cornball multimedia elements.
BOTTOM LINE Nothing groundbreaking for the RTS genre, but still tons of fun.
Got an 82%, that's a pretty good score for those who don't read PCG.
Just noticed how long ago this was posted, you might have the games by now. Need some more users on the board to kick the stale threads off the front page. :P
