Announcement: El Presidente Goes On Vacation
May 26, 2005 - 10:53 am

No, not the president of Cuba... Brian and his trusty sidekick, Kurtis, will be out of their (virtual) offices for the next six days. With so much going on behind the scenes, Brian decided it was time to relax and get away from all the stress. As for Kurtis, yeah, I guess Counter-Strike can get a bit stressful too at times.

But seriously though, they both need a break and hope you guys can deal with the lack of site updates for the next six days. After all, it IS Memorial Day weekend, so go pretend to enjoy yourself with your family or something. While they are gone, you might as well go mingle with the odd forum folks. Say 'hi' to our local jester while you're there, if you can pick him from the crowd.

#1 Aren't you guys supposed to go on holidays after you do all the important work... ???... you know like... get the new look up and running... and clear out the people in the memebers list that only have 1 post?

#2 We have a jester? I thought that was Kurtis but he's going on holidays :-P

#3 I hope my quote tags work x.x

Man, what a trip. Went to Lake Buchanan for 6 days. Had a cool boat, a couple jet-skis one day. The boat and one jet-ski had a little gas-clog problem, thankfully the boat got over it, but the jet-ski was a little finicky and we had to rotate the use of the good jet-ski. Was cool though, nice weather. Rained at night, but sunny (and sometimes cloudy) days. Went up the river and saw some cool waterfalls. The best part was the bugs. Giant death-crickets, all sorts of spiders and had quick chat with a nice little scorpion.

Went to the small town of Burnet a couple of times for food at some mom/pop restaurants. While I am a techie guy, I really like the simple life of small towns (and the lack of huge buildings and horrid traffic. Would be nice to build a house up at the lake for use a couple months out of the year.

Oh well. Back home in the city now and ready to get back to work. San Antonio is no NY or LA, but it is still too much of a city for me. If only satellite internet access in small towns didn't require a 56k upstream :-P
