View Full Version : I have a new jobby job
Well, I don't know if I had posted this before but I had learned the company I work for was moving the department I am in up to a different office in NC and so I would be out of a job come next year most likely. Granted, this was some knowledge I am not supposed to have as only myself and my friend here know about it thanks to a "connection" up in our home office  .
So I had applied for a job in our IS (basically the same as IT ;-) )department 2 weeks ago and got the call this week from our HR offering me the job . I will tell you this is the best news I have heard in awhile and really eases my wife's mind as well as mine.

congrats, getting laid off would suck.
yes it does...I've been through it twice already and have no desire to go through it again.
New jobs are fun though, sometimes its nice to do something just slightly different. Getting paid is also nice too.

what are you trying to say? :-p
what are you trying to say? :-p
I was just saying that when funds run low (as in my previous employer) the thought of not getting paid really can spook a person. I jumped ship Feb to a new job.
What did you think I meant Kurtis????

that doesn't even make any sense. you're just mad cuz you're a crocodile wrestler and stuff and I get to play with cool gadgetry while you're stuck checking crocodile prostates and stuff

You know it...and I am training my replacement this week. So I get to kind of sit back and watch. muahahah
Gotta say this is the best job so far. The group is cool as hell and I am doing stuff I enjoy.
