i need some help on setting up a serva on counter strike source. when i make a dedicated source serva using steam it says that it is not responding to other users. i have been told that i need to open a port on my router firewall but i dont no if this is true. can anyone help?

Ummm, yeah you probably do need to open at least the port CS uses to send and receive data from players.

I believe it used to be port 27015 for Half-Life, but I don't know if it's different now or what when using CS or HL Source, etc.

You need to enable the DMZ more than likely. (Demilitarized Zone)

Do you know how to access your router settings? If not, Rich will likely be able to help you with that.

Be aware that enabling the DMZ put that machine directly on the internet. Make sure you are fully aware of all implications of this before doing it. IF you still want to DMZ a machine I would be happy to help you set it up.
