PRINTER HAS BEEN SOLD!
Okay, so here's the deal. I just moved my little office from the upstairs living room (now being converted into isabella's 'playroom') to the downstairs study. so i've got myself a new desk, and i'm in the middle of moving all my stuff downstairs. previously, chris had all his stuff in the study (which is now going into his bedroom) including his computer, a xerox copier, another printer, and a scanner. I also had a printer on my desk upstairs and i've also got an old fax which barely works.
So... long story short... i'm getting rid of all that crap and condensing it into a multifunction printer (Canon's Pixma MP830) - which I've just purchased on Newegg.com moments ago.
I'm selling my Pixma ip4000 printer - which I've found to be excellent by the way. It is like new, though perhaps it's a bit more dusty than a new one would be - but I haven't exactly been throwing rocks or magnetic darts* at this thing, so it's in perfect conditioin. it prints pretty fast and the quality is very good (i've printed stacks and stacks of 4"x6" photos with these, and they look awesome. I have the manual, the printer, and the cables that go with it - no box.
I bought this printer for about $150 new at OfficeMax, and I'm looking for about $100 for it. If you're interested, PM me. I'm not looking for trades or anything, as I've already bought the multifunction printer that will replace it and I just want to make back a little bit of the money.
*Lame reference to my review of the Antec Sonata (http://www.thetechlounge.com/article/60/Antec+Sonata+Mid+Tower+Case/) where I mention "Although there are no āLā brackets in the corners of this case, Antec still managed to make it very sturdy. I even stood on the case to test its durability ( =D ). One thing you will want to watch out for is magnetic darts... Yes, I said magnetic darts. The other day while playing with my magnetic darts in the living room, I missed horribly and hit the top of the Sonata. The bad news is that it chipped the paint. The good news is that it only chipped a tiny spot of paint that is barely noticeable. So, if you have magnetic darts, do not throw them anywhere near your case, whether it be an Antec Sonata or a plain Gateway case. Actually on second thought, if you have a Gateway computer, throw an unimaginably large magnetic dart at it. (Sorry! I am joking. Gateway is a fantastic company that does not rip you off. Nope, not at all!)." in the Quality Inspection section. Like I said - lame.
side-note: stay away from HP photo paper, I've found that those prints come out looking like crap. the dark colors will invert when you turn the paper, it's really weird. happens every time i use the hp paper. epson paper is really good, and canon paper should work well too.
