Nintendo steals Sony's, Microsoft's thunder at E3 (http://www.thetechlounge.com/news/9969/Nintendo+steals+Sonys+Microsofts+thunder+at+E3/)

"On the second day of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), it becomes clear that Nintendo's upcoming Wii console grabs the attention of show attendees at a much faster pace that the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360. While Nintendo has created an impressive booth with 27 games running on even more stations, it is nearly impossible for most attendees to get a glimpse at the titles. A few minutes after the show opened, Nintendo estimated the wait to reach a game station at about four hours. By 10 am, the wait had increased to six hours. By our estimates, there were at least 1000 people in line waiting, especially for a first look at Ubisoft's Red Steel first person shooter.

I know I posted 3 things today that talk about how Sony isn't doing so hot with the PS3... but each article offers a different perspective and comes to the same conclusion. It's just interesting.

I don't particularly like consoles, but the Wii does look sort of cool. I always did like Mario games, and Zelda is cool too. Xbox 360 doesn't impress me at all graphically speaking. I played some game demos at a local gameshop the other day and the graphics don't seem much better than what I can play on a mid-range video card on a PC... Big whoop, I say.

Give me Mario! There are some pretty cool movies floating around the internet showing off the new Mario Galaxy game for the Wii, by the way. Pretty cool. Not sure about their new control (Wiimote?), but looks cool at least.

consoles are pretty lame in my opinion, but i'm a PC gamer. i do like the fact that there are no drivers, video card upgrades and all that crap to go with consoles. but, if i was just getting out of school and moving into my first apartment. i think i'd get a good console and TV with my first paycheck. now that you can play DVDs and such on a console, it's really worth it if you have limited space or budget.

i just hate playing games with a controller!!! gimme a keyboard and mouse dammit!
