PLEASE HELP:.....

I need to find out someone's Ip Address from a myspace domain.....

I have an account and a tracker that tracks ip addresses that visit my page from myspace....sometimes it identifies the visitors...and other times it just leaves their ip addresses with where they're located....

my question is..... if i have a person's URL (myspace.com/3948548)<---whatever the person's site number is... AND I have their full name, age, EVEN street address.... is there a way I can look up their ip address to figure out if they've viewed my page through my tracker by matching up the ip numbers...?????

i doubt that you would be able to pinpoint to the exact street. you can use a program like neotrace to sort of get you in the area if you have their ip. of course that is assuming they aren't using an anonymous ip generated from a tor network.

You would need direct access to server logs which should record the IP address of anyone who views a page. But as Brad already pointed out, even an IP address will not get you too far. Even if the person was not using an anonymous IP, the type of information you are looking for is located in the ISP's logs, which are only available by way of a subpeona. (i.e DHCP to HMAC records), the type of info even the MPAA and RIAA have problems getting.

but aren't there hundreds of websites that you can input information and get an ip address? i just don't know where they're at...haha

all i need is some sort of website that i can input their myspace url and get their ip..... the problem is everytime i've tried doing so...it will only give me the domain's (myspace) ip ..not the actual user.

cant hackers find out this sort of information??? haha

The problem is that the end-user doesn't own the IP, they are basically borrowing it for awhile. They could shut off their system and get a new IP the next time they turn it on. There is no way to find out their IP by a myspace URL. Only myspace would know what IP someone uses when they login and it could be a privacy violation to just give that out. You can see IP's in your tracker because in that case someone visited your page and your tracker can monitor the requests.

why even bother? myspace is the bane of our existance anyway.

i think Emo has the most correctest answer.

there is no way you'll be able to input a myspace url and get the ip for the person whose page it is. that is just impossible. i don't think you understand how the internet works. you can't just enter a random url and magically get the exact longitude and latitude of a person who logs into that site.

the best you can hope for is to get the ip address they used while viewing your site and track it back to the isp. if you are lucky you'll at least get the town they are in and not much more info than that. like rich said, the isp will have ip logs that they can then track back to a MAC address on the cable modem, for instance, and then figure out what user is at what ip and get a billing address from their records. there is no way in hell they would give you that information. that would be a massive invasion of privacy...or of what little privacy we have left.

Am I the only one that is wondering why he is trying to do this in the first place?

It just seems a bit odd to me.

well i've done a little reseach, and even though what you guys are sayin is true...the weird part is, i've looked up my own computers ip address, and it's the same as the one myspace uses for my user account EVEN when i tried it on someone elses computer.... so technically it just could mean that where ever i registered or whatever computer i registered under could be the same ip myspace uses....

try this. go to this site and enter whatever ip address you think is important. it will trace it back to the isp server. http://visualroute.visualware.com/

i'm sure myspace, or your ip tracking program, does show that you accessed your account from your computer's home ip. but it doesn't mean you'll be able to find you address from it unless you have access to the server's ip logs at your isp.

If you know their address or their name and they have comcast as their ISP Ill tell you there ip, or if you have their ip ill tell you their name. Hope this helps you in your quest.
if you got the ip and are not sure who is their ISP comcast ip mostly range from 67.x.x.x, 68.x.x.x, 69.x.x.x 71.x.x.x, 72.x.x.x and sometimes even 24.x.x.x

Hey, I have a question. If you are a lurker at a site, can the admin still see your IP address?

Technically, if you -visit- a site, your IP can and may be recorded.

Yebut, even without logging in?? Another reason why I can't stand Big Brother watching over. Any way to fix that?

Any website can track every IP that visits it.

HolyCowBatman! Didn't know that. Can they see what page you are viewing or just that you were at the site?

(Thanks for answering all these, btw.)

Depends on the stats tracking they have, but yes they can.

Dayum. That's just crazy.

p.s. the site I'm curious about looks exactly like this, it is Vbulletin as well. :D
