People who have dedicated their entire lives to putting helmets on paladins and raiding dragon nests ... or whatever it is Warcraft people do ... will have yet another reason to stay chained to their computers on November 13, because that's when the Wrath of the Lich King expansion is heading their way.
If last time was any indication, you should pre-order a copy of the Special Edition if you want to be among the select few who get their hands on it. You'll get hooked up with the following: a 208 page art book, replete with concept drawings and beautiful pics that you can gaze at when you aren't power leveling; a new exclusive non-combat pet - a baby frost wyrm named "Frosty"; a DVD with developer commentary; the WotLK official soundtrack; a map of Northrend on a mousepad; and two starter decks for the WoW Trading Card Game.
I leveled a character close enough to 55 a while back so that I could check out the new Death Knight hotness when the expansion drops. We'll see if it's enough to get me hooked in again. The expansion is priced at $39.99 again, with the Special Edition coming in at $69.99. If that's not enough to get you excited, you probably don't play WoW. And that's totally fine by me.
