Default Boycott: CS CZ

I went to Best Buy a week ago and i was torn between 2 different games, Battlefield Vietnam, or Counter-strike CZ, I realize now that I'm an idiot.

Everyone, BOYCOTT CONDTION ZERO, ITS THE SAME GAME EXCEPT IT COSTS 40 BUCKS MORE THAN YOU HAD TO PAY FOR COUNTERSTRIKE (Note: Its free!)

Spread the word, and if you bought it, complain to valve, i already asked for my 40 dollars back... no responce yet heh.

I was wondering what that Condition Zero was, now I know. I too have been looking at BFV. Its a good game, but much more fun if you can get into a server with people you know, but then again, CS can be like that too.

Yeah, whenever I bought CS:CZ from Valve, it was really, really bad. All it is is regular CS with bots. It includes a "Deleted Scenes" game, but all that really is is reskinned Half-Life. Deleted Scenes doesn't even feel like Counter-Strike.

Luckily, I bought CS:CZ whenever it first came out at Fry's Electronics (in Austin) and it was only $20.00. Whenever I go back though, I see tons of boxes of unsold CS:CZ.

hmm, CS with bots. I think I ran that once with a free addon program I downloaded off the web. Sometimes they were stupid bots, but they were nice targets!

The bots are actually pretty good. I'm a seasoned CS Player, and in hard mode, they Bots actually give me a good ass kicking. They work in groups, which can be both good and bad. If you're working against a team of bots, they kick your ass. If you try to work with your team of bots, then they go off and do their own bot thing. Kind of makes you think that the bots on your team are shunning you. Or making bait out of you.

I don't want to be a killjoy, but isn't that what everything nowadays is? CS, TFC, DMC, DoD, NS, CZ, and so on. I realize that you are trying to say that they are charging $40 for a game that has already been released, but they did that with CS 1.5 as well. Also, you can get it for $30 through Steam.

The bots are very skilled, and lifelike untill you hti the top difficulty level.

I agree Carlson. The graphics in the "Deleted Scenes" aren't even the graphics you see from the pre-release marketing. I remember playing DS and killing the same turbaned terrorist guy with a machete... like 90 times in the first level. Then there was a "trip wire land mine." It suspiciously looked like a laser wall mine from Half Life. I mean, they didn't even reskin it, they just changed the color of the laser from blue to gray.

I think the only thing cool I got out of the whole deal was a 1:200,000 chance to win some Alienware System (hey, who doesn't want a free computer?), the Half-Life 2 Teaser Video CD that came with it, somethign to play when my cable goes out, and an extra cd-key, if that even means anything anymore.

CS is so old and busted anyway. squeezing that last little bit of blood from that stone was such a pathetic attempt....just finish HL2 already ya bastards and give us an engine to make CS2!!!!!

Battlefield vietnam/1942/desert combat are way more interesting games than CS. nothing like flying a huey over your teammates while providing cover fire...way better than "counter-terrorists win..bang bang...oh i got headshotted again by some asshat hacker".....snooooooze.
