Default June 2006 Contest (Sponsored by Slim Devices)

Contest has ended!

If you didn't win anything last month in our XFX contest, worry not! You now have a chance to win a Slim Devices Wireless Squeezebox! We wanted to see a little creativity for this contest rather than just doing the standard drop-your-name-in-the-hat routine, so contestants will be ‘photochopping’ a hi-res photo of the Slim Devices Squeezebox for a chance to win a Wireless Squeezebox.

How to enter

Participants may only enter the Contest by way of the Internet. To enter the contest, you must be a registered member of TheTechLounge’s forums and post your ‘photochop’ entry in this thread. Pictures to be ‘photochopped’ will be provided in this thread. Please make sure to use the “Manage Attachments” feature of the forums to upload the file to our server rather than hosting the file yourself. If you were already a member of the forums before the contest started, you are still eligible to win.

What is required of a ‘photochop’ entry?

Basically, we want you to use one of the provided Squeezebox photos and do something creative with it in your favorite graphics editing program (Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, MSPaint, etc…). There are no limits to what you can do, from altering the style of the Squeezebox to changing the Squeezebox’s surroundings. Keep in mind that entries will be judged by TheTechLounge staff based on their creativity, visual appeal and how the Squeezebox is portrayed (having a stickman poo on the Squeezebox will leave us unimpressed). We don’t want to put too many limits on what you can do, just have fun with it.

Here are three different views of the Squeezebox:

Here is the Slim Devices logo in JPG, EPS, and TIF formats (EPS and TIF have transparency):
.JPG (700KB) / .EPS (300KB) / .TIF (1.89MB)

More images can be found on the Slim Devices Website:

The contest will end on June 30, 2006 at 10:00 PM CST

I will admit that I suck at graphics, but here's an entry just for fun. Obviously I'm not eligible to win

PLEASE be more creative than me, lol. I figured the word "martini" was in the song name. it was meant to be, right?

Give it a shot anyway. So far you'd be the only person entered which gives you pretty good odds

Great contest! I have been wanting a Squeeze Box for a long time, but have been too cheap to buy one Looks like this is my big chance!

Explanation- I got the Squeeze box, added some features to it but then got bored with the idea of some basica customization so I put it in this picture. I added some vacuum tubes b/c it clearly could use some. Eeks! Forgot to blur the vacuum tubes! You get the idea though ;)

I was going to have a bite taken out of it but I felt that was a bit over the top.
