ASUS says its Xonar DX supports all flavors of EAX. Creative Labs says nobody can make that claim; every level of EAX over 2 is proprietary. ASUS claims it can even tackle higher level DirectSound3D EAX calls in Windows Vista without the need for a standalone applet (i.e. Creative's ALchemy) thanks to DS3D GX2.
