I need to update the information about Dual-GPU GTX260 GX2 Officially Branded as GeForce GTX295. With the release date approaching, more details are visible now.

Firstly, GeForce GTX295 VGA card will feature two GPUs of 55nm GT200. And the number of stream processors is 480 (240Ö2), not 216Ö2 as we reported. Besides, its memory bus width is 896 bit (448bitx2), and memory size is 1792MB DDR3 (896MBx2). It won’t adopt GDDR5, and its total power is 289W. GTX 295 will be launched on Jan 8th, exactly on the day when CES2009 starts.

OK, 480 shader processors is fine, 240x2 translates perfectly there. 1792MB RAM? Yes, two time 896MB is indeed 1792 (to the chagrin of hardware reviewers everywhere who are forced to type that shit out every time) but bus width, that's just wrong. Haveing two 448-bit busses... is still 448-bit. I could be wrong, though. If I am, I'm going to solder thirty damn processors together and invent the world's first 1920-bit processor.

You can't do it now, haha, it's my idea, I have patents on it! (They're right there with duct-taping more RAM onto my hard drive.)

Here's another link.
