TheTechLounge Newsletter

Our e-mail newsletter contains unique content such as Editorial Columns, Tech-Tips, Reader Q&A, Recent News, Sneak-Peeks of upcoming articles, recently published articles, Coupons and Sales from Newegg as well as other Hot Deals and recent Price Drops on hardware and consumer electronics.

In addition, TheTechLounge holds regular contests and giveaways which require nothing more than a subscription to the newsletter to enter for a chance to win (assuming you qualify with regards to other factors such as geographic location). Our newsletter is free, informative, and will show up in your inbox every two weeks. In addition to the biweekly newsletter, you have the option of receiving an email notifying you when we publish a new article.

We hate spam as much as you do, so if you don't find our newsletter to be fun and informative, you can quickly and easily unsubscribe. You can be assured that you will not receive any unsolicited e-mail from TheTechLounge and that all of your personal information will remain private and protected.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I submit questions to the Reader Q&A?
If you have a question you would like us to answer in the Reader Q&A section of the newsletter, please send it to qna@thetechlounge.com. Because of the shear number of questions submitted, we will not be able to address everyone’s questions.

  • How do I update my e-mail address?
If you are changing your e-mail address, or want to receive our newsletter at a different e-mail address, you have the ability to update the address that the newsletter is sent to. However, for the protection of our other subscribers, we can not change your e-mail address for you.

To update your e-mail address, first click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our newsletter. Then, create a new subscription using your updated e-mail address. Our newsletter system does not require a username and password, so the only form of authentication is through your e-mail address.

  • How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
If you decide you no longer want to receive our newsletter, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of every newsletter we send out.

  • What if I have a problem registering or don't receive the confirmation e-mail?
If you have any problems signing up for the newsletter, please send an e-mail to newsletter@thetechlounge.com using the e-mail account you attempted to sign up with. Be sure to include the nature of the problem in the e-mail.

  • Why is the newsletter marked as spam by my e-mail client?
Occasionally, some mail clients or anti-spam software may accidentally mark our newsletter as unsolicited commercial email. If you notice that you have missed an issue, you should check your bulk mail or junk mail folder to see if the anti-spam filters have incorrectly sorted the newsletter.

If you use Spam Assassin, Vetomail, SpamBully, Mailblocks, or any other form of spam filtering software that incorrectly marks our newsletter as spam, you can place the address newsletter@thetechlounge.com in your friends list (or white list). This specifically tells your anti-spam software that our newsletter is not spam and not to remove it from your inbox.

  • Why isn't there a text-only version of the newsletter?
Currently, our newsletter is only offered in HTML format. Considering the amount of information in each issue, we feel that a full HTML newsletter is easier to read and navigate as opposed to several pages of black and white text.

While the newsletter uses HTML, the file size is still quite small and the few pictures it does contain are not stored as attachments in the e-mail.
